This is it, your Dream Horse! Hercules is a perfect gentleman!
Hercules is a Draft cross-quarter horse who stands 16 hands tall, is 11 years old, and is everything in one package! He is the Perfect golden color, with big bones and stout confirmation. For the last three years, he has carried the flag on the Palomino Patrol drill team doing the Grand Entry for the San Antonio stock show and Rodeo. He has no problem with the heavy silver saddle, long Serapis, hip drops, Tapaderos, flags, etc. He loves all of the attention as the crowd roars. Hercules does great in parades; you can ride him with no hands. This is awesome because it gives you one hand to hold a flag and the other hand to wave 😊
He is a crowd favorite with his beautiful golden color and long, flowing mane and tail. He has been on TV numerous times. He neck reins easily with one hand or no hands, Rides Bareback, and bridle-less. He responds to leg cues. He side passes both directions. He backs up easily, lopes both leads, and stands patiently for mounting, clipping, and Farrier – all without even being tied.
He is confident on the trail, loves parades, and is very surefooted. His bold, shapely build gives him the stamina to carry any size rider all day. He has no problem with water, bridges, traffic, bicycles, wagons, mules, opening and closing gates, rough terrain, or brushy areas. He is very surefooted and has never stumbled. He will ride alone or with a group and stand perfectly still for as long as you ask. He is fine being stalled or out in the pasture and gets along great with other horses. He is great at working cattle. He is great with dogs. As a matter of fact, my dog has a special saddle, and rides often.
Hercules is extremely calm and patient. I am handicapped, and it takes me a while to crawl on top of him. But he is a perfect gentleman. He stands perfectly still, no matter how long it takes me to mount. He will side pass next to anything, allowing you to get on and wait for your cue to leave. He is as solid as a rock!
He stands perfectly still for the Farrier, even when not tied, and will leave his hoof on the stand, patiently waiting for the Farrier to return. He loves being groomed and is extremely patient. He is the most trustworthy horse I’ve ever seen. He has no problem allowing me to crawl underneath, clipping, and painting his hooves. He travels perfectly. He will load himself into the trailer and back out perfectly. I honestly can’t say enough about this big, beautiful Palomino. I love him with all my heart and I’ll be sad to see him go.
